Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital – Grand Rapids, Michigan
Corewell Health’s Helen DeVos Children's Hospital has a wonderful opportunity for a BC/BE child & adolescent psychiatrist looking for an inpatient and/or outpatient practice within a premier pediatric medical facility. We offer a wide array of services throughout the continuum of care (outpatient, medical inpatient and ED consultation liaison, inpatient medical psychiatric unit), making us an ideal place for both experienced child psychiatrists and new graduates to work in their desired area of practice. We are also thrilled to be able to offer the opportunity to practice on our brand new Pediatric Medical Psychiatric Unit - the only unit of its kind in the region.
Select Features of this Position:
- 90-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow ups for outpatient practice
- Opportunities for inpatient practice including consultation liaison and rotation on pediatric medical floors and ED as well as on the inpatient Pediatric Medical Psychiatric Unit
- Work with a comprehensive behavioral health care team including psychology, psychotherapy, nursing, and social work in addition to Advanced Practice Provider support.
- Teaching opportunity with pediatric residents and medical students
- Inpatient nighttime phone call and unit weekend rounding for inpatient psychiatrists for additional compensation
- Team in-basket coverage while you're away from work! Providers rotate coverage to manage calls and refill requests while your away. Each provider staffs this service 3-4 weeks per year.
